Below we have grouped the various door/lock problems in small and medium and larger jobs to enable you to estimate how much work we are likely to have to do to rectify faults.

Timber Doors and lock.
Small job.
1. Door slammed shut keys inside.
NDE (non destructive opening) service to avoid having to replace locks.
2. Mortice locks commonly found on timber doors, keys not working very well, difficult to open and lock.
New lock required.
Large job.
1. Lost keys.
New locks required to avoid your insurance being void.
3. Door won't unlock wood/timber doors even though you have the keys. New locks will be required.

Minor Faults
Door is difficult to lock requiring undue force and pressure to engage the locking mechanism in the closed position but will lock with some effort required.
Solution
The door requires a service normally no parts are required.
Non emergency call can be booked to suit your availability.
No call out charges for pre-booked jobs.
Medium faults
Handles are loose but still working at the present time.
Door is catching when trying to lock it and difficult to engage the locking system.
Locking mechanism is making grating noises and is stiff to engage in the door open position.
Door is over 15 years old.
Solution
Door requires a service and new parts.
Non emergency call can be booked to suit your availability.
No call out charges for pre-booked jobs.
Major Faults
Door will lock but keys cannot be removed in the locked position.
Door is locked in the closed position key turns but you are unable to move the handles and you cannot access the property.
Solution
Door requires opening and new parts this will include a service as standard.
Emergency call or pre booked if you can use an alternative door.

An emergency call service, based locally we can get to you within 10 to 20 minutes.
We also offer a same day or book an appointment service for situations such as a back door repair where you not locked out or the door simply needs a repair. This service has no call out charges.
We also offer a pre-booked non essential after hours or weekend service. This service also has no call out charges.
